NEWS 2005-2008

Poseidon has kept busy performing coast to coast, including performances in Denver , Colorado and Portland , Oregon at the Centennial Celebration of Holy Trinity Church. The band also performed at Halifax ’s 25th annual Greek Festival, headlining together with famous Comedian and close friend Angelo Tsarouchas. 2008 was brought in with a sold out News Year’s Eve Party in Montreal . Members of the band visited Greece and sat in on a recording session at famous Studio 111 in Piraeus with producer/writer Panagiotis Brakoulias.

NEWS 2004

Poseidon has been nominated for two awards at the 2004 Greek Canadian Music Awards. Nominated for best songs are "Tora", the title track off its hit CD, and the song "O Tilefonitis". The awards are being held at The Opera House, in Toronto on March 21, 2004.

Radio Interview- The Greek Hour on CHIN Radio, FM 97.9- Live with Chris Pezoulas and Nick Pantieras. Host Peter Pouris showcased the band and interviewed Nick and Chris, for one hour. Chris announced that he is back in the studio composing music, and the band plans to release a surprise CD in the summer.

POSEIDON started off the year by performing in February for 1,000 people at "An evening in Greece", held in Regina, Saskatchewan.

NEWS 2003

POSEIDON completed another successful year traveling and performing across the country. The band headlined at the Ottawa Greekfest , a spectacular success breaking attendance records with over 100,000 participants. The group finished off the year with performances in Saskatoon and Ottawa.

FALL 2002

Poseidon performed to a sold out benefit concert entitled "ONIRO" in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in October. Touring with the Band was comedian Angelo Tsarouchas and proceeds of the event went to a charity supporting hungry children. Congratulations to the Saskatoon Greek Community.

Summer 2002

The band will be featured on the Greek stage at the world renowned Taste Of The Danforth Festival on Sat. August 10, 2002. For details visit www.tasteofthedanforth.com

Poseidon will also be headlining the Ottawa Greek Summer festival held August 15 to August 24 at the Hellenic Community of Ottawa grounds. For details visit www.helleniccommunity.com

The band will be making its debut appearance at the Windsor Greekfest on Friday, Sept 20 and Saturday Sept 21. It is anticipated that there will be many participants attending from Detroit's fourteen Greek communities!

This past March, the song Orkos Kardias of the CD "Tora" hit # 3 on the charts as tracked by Radio Akropolis. In May, the song "O Tilfonitis" hit #5 on the top 40 list. Currently, "Ithela na moun konta sou" is rising on the charts, representing the fifth song of the Cd to reach the Top 40.

JANUARY - FEBRUARY 2002

Poseidon is nominated for 3 awards by the Greek Canadian Music awards, including Band of the Year, Best Song (Den Boro) and Best Album (TORA). The band is awarded "Band of the Year" at the ceremonies in Toronto, Canada. Singer/songwriter Chris Pezoulas and Bouzouki player Tony Pantieras accept the award on behalf of the band.

The band performs to over 1,100 people at a sold out show in Regina, Saskatchewan. "An Evening in Greece" is a hospital fundraiser sponsored by the Greek Community of Regina and AHEPA.

Athens Magazine "Difono" writes an article and reviews the CD Tora, alongside the top acts of Greece.

SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER

The songs Den Boro and Orkos Kardias reach #3 on the Greek American charts as tracked by Radio Akropolis.

The CD Tora is released in Montreal and is featured on the radio station CHCR. Nostos Magazine features Poseidon in a nation wide article.

The band closes out the year with a performance at the New Years Eve Dance in Ottawa.

AUGUST 2001

The song Den Boro (remix) has entered the top 40 (only 1 week after its release) at Radio Akropolis, heard around the world. Poseidon will be performing in Toronto on August 12, at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm at the Taste of the Danforth festival. This festival is one of North America’s largest attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors.

POSEIDON will also be performing at the Ottawa Greek Summer Festival on August 17-19. This event is one of the most successful Greek Festivals in North America.

JULY 2001

POSEIDON launches its web site which includes a band biography, guestbook, audio streaming, photogallery and the ability to order the CD "TORA".

Poseidon has just released its original album "TORA" over the airwaves. The CD has already received airplay on popular greek Radio stations in Toronto, Vancouver , Calgary and Montreal is on its way to becoming one of the few hit Greek albums to originate outside of Greece. The CD is available on-line and will be available in stores near you in August.

JUNE 2001

Poseidon rocks the house at the Calgary Greek Festival, attended by over 10,000 people. The band sells out an evening CD release party, and lauches its CD called "Tora" which means "NOW".
